Women’s Health testing by molecular technique
Annually, over 1 billion women worldwide suffer from non-sexually transmitted infections, such as bacterial vaginosis, urinary tract infections, and yeast vaginitis. Even with antimicrobial treatments, women have seen a high recurrence rate with side effects. Traditional culture-based testing methods can lack specificity or be subjective and inaccurate. Molecular diagnostics can help.
We use quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) based tests that boast incredible accuracy and sensitivity. Within 24-48 hours, we can provide a more definitive diagnosis and detect the presence of polymicrobial infections. Physicians can make more informed treatment decisions based on molecular level diagnosis, leading to more effective patient outcomes and earlier treatment protocols.
