Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) testing by molecular technique
UTIs are among the most common community and hospital-acquired infections, affecting almost 50% of the population at least once in their lifetime. The primary causes of urinary tract infections are bacteria species we can detect through targeted pathogen selection.
We use quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) based tests with a resistance option. Detection of antibiotic-resistant genes and infection-causing bacteria, is 99%+ accurate. Our quick 24-48 hour turnaround allows physicians to make more informed treatment decisions leading to more effective patient outcomes.
